Latest Technology Used at Kempston Dental Practice

At Kempston Dental Practice, our goal is to deliver the highest quality care to our private patients. Our team stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry, and we’ve invested in state-of-the-art technologies to ensure we offer the highest quality services and treatments. Here’s a look at the facilities and services available at our practice, all designed to benefit our patients:

Rotary Endodontics and Microscopes

For root canal procedures, our practice utilises a rotary endodontics machine to clean and shape the root canal system. This advanced rotary system offers several benefits over traditional stainless steel files, including greater flexibility, allowing for better navigation of curved canals with enhanced precision. The process can also be completed more quickly, and the system has the ability to detect when the files are nearing the tip of the root.

We also have the latest microscope which provides 400 times more visual accuracy than the naked eye. Magnification improves accuracy of tooth preparations and margins preventing damage to adjacent teeth and connective tissue during all kinds of dental procedures and surgery. It is used to to find extra canals and abnormalities during root canals to increase the success rates but also provide quicker treatment times whilst preserving the maximum amount of natural tooth.

Digital Itero Oral Scanner

We have several 3D intraoral scanners which can be used as an alternative to traditional impression taking, meaning patients no longer have to experience any gagging.

Why do we have it?

  • The scanner ensures more precise fitting for restorations and aligners as we can work very closely with the labs in real-time. There is no posting of impressions, thus reducing any distortions of work, leading to the best quality restoration and appliance.
  • We can track changes in your teeth every six months, such as worsening crowding or gum recession.
  • If you have crowded or misaligned teeth, you can see on-screen how your teeth will appear after straightening with a simulation within just 2 minutes.

Digital X-rays

We use digital x-rays to ensure we get the best quality image possible so we can diagnose more accurately. They also help improve patient safety with markedly reduced exposure to radiation.

Digital Intra-Oral Cameras

We can capture detailed digital images of your entire mouth, including your teeth and gums. This allows us to show you exactly what’s happening inside your mouth, such as identifying decay or a broken tooth. These enlarged images are displayed on our large screens, providing you with a clearer understanding of your oral health and any necessary treatments.

Implant Motor

Our practice is equipped with the latest specialized implant motor, enabling us to place dental implants with exceptional precision and accuracy, ensuring a comfortable experience for our patients.
