Alison has greatly enjoyed her time at Kempston Dental Practice, where she has been a valued team member since 2003. Over the years, she has built a loyal patient base, serving generations of the same families for over two decades. Before joining our practice, Alison worked in Australia as a flying dentist, providing care to Aboriginal patients in remote areas, visiting schools, and performing extractions in hospitals. She later transitioned to general practice in Dorchester.

Alison has always aspired to work in a family dental practice and finds it particularly rewarding to help nervous patients of all ages overcome their fears and become regular attendees. She is well-known for her bubbly personality and her ability to put even the most anxious patients, whether adults or children, at ease.

Outside of work, Alison is kept busy by her two boys, balancing her career with being a taxi driver and football mom. She’s often spotted running through the Forest Centre with the wind in her hair—or running around the practice.

‘Having now made the decision to have a full assessment of both my gums and teeth, this due to my age of being 71, Alison did exactly that. And after she had completed the full visual assessment, she then took several X-rays. Following the full assessment, Alison explained and showed me the results of the X-rays, we then discussed the various options and the various specialists that I would need to treated by for a successful treatment plan and a successful outcome. And we then discussed the time frame for the treatment and of course the cost element. But throughout the whole process, Alison was professional, polite and understanding of what my needs were, and she took the time to explain in full detail the treatment required, the individual specialist who would do the treatment, the costs and what the final outcome would be. And Alison ensured that at every stage, that I understood everything she was explaining, about the treatment, the expected outcome and she allowed me to pose questions and more importantly she allowed me too make my own final decisions.
