Having now made the decision to have a full assessment of both my gums and teeth, this due to my age of being 71, Alison did exactly that. And after she had completed the full visual assessment, she then took several X-rays.
Following the full assessment, Alison explained and showed me the results of the X-rays, we then discussed the various options and the various specialists that I would need to treated by for a successful treatment plan and a successful outcome.
And we then discussed the time frame for the treatment and of course the cost element.
But throughout the whole process, Alison was professional, polite and understanding of what my needs were, and she took the time to explain in full detail the treatment required, the individual specialist who would do the treatment, the costs and what the final outcome would be.
And Alison ensured that at every stage, that I understood everything she was explaining, about the treatment, the expected outcome and she allowed me to pose questions and more importantly she allowed me too make my own final decisions. No pressure, full involvement with the decision making and being treated as a person and not an object.
