New patient emergencies are welcome at Kempston Dental Practice.

If you are not registered and have a dental emergency we may have able to help and see you that day or find you the next available emergency appointment.

Whether you’re dealing with a severe toothache, a chipped or broken tooth, or any other urgent dental issue, our skilled and compassionate team is here to provide prompt and effective care. Don’t let a dental emergency ruin your day—trust Kempston Dental Practice to handle your urgent needs with professionalism and care.

To book an emergency appointment, call us first thing in the morning at 8.45 am or book online to secure a slot.

What to Expect:

  1. Medical History: You’ll receive an email to complete your medical history form. Alternatively, you can arrive 15 minutes early to fill it out in person.
  2. Assessment: The dentist will evaluate the problem at hand and provide a solution to relieve your pain.
  3. Fees: Your emergency fee includes any necessary X-rays, but any additional treatment will be charged separately. All costs will be clearly explained before you  decide to move forward.
  4. Follow-Up: If further permanent treatment is required, you’ll receive advice and a detailed treatment plan which you can take your time to look over. You may be advised to book a new patient examination, which includes a comprehensive assessment of your dental health to help prevent future emergencies. This is a 45 minute appointment which will look at you as a whole.
  5. Patient Benefits: Once registered as a regular patient, you’ll gain access to out-of-hours emergency care with our dentists, 7 days a week, and enjoy priority booking for future emergencies.

For Registered Patients with a Dental Emergency:

  • Priority Care: Call us at 8:45 am to secure one of our reserved emergency slots. Registered patients receive priority access to a dentist for pain relief or other urgent needs.
  • After-Hours Care: If the practice is closed, please call and follow the instructions. An on-call dentist will get back to you with a solution. We offer this service 7 days a week, including bank holidays. If an out-of-hours visit is necessary for a true emergency, this can be arranged, though call-out charges may apply.
  • DPAS Patients: If you are a DPAS patient, you benefit from our worldwide dental emergency assistance scheme, with no call-out charges or costs for emergency treatment, available 24/7, 365 days a year. For more details, refer to our Scheme Handbook.
